Finally I take a proper look at orange Alps, as well as the M0116 I've shown in several videos so far! Hope you enjoy the video! :)

An idea for a future video would be your fastest typing keyboards. You mentioned that this may be your fastest switch but with your collection it would be interesting to see a "top 3" keyboards you would bring to a typing competition when money and family honor is at stake. :D

I don't mention it because I don't care about typing speeds, it's not what I went mech for. I also doubt the accuracy and consistency of such studies that present a definitive number. All I can say is that this one happens to make me type very fast xD . The typing demos might give a good approximation of the typing speeds per keyboard; I type very quickly (for me) in this one, for example.

I also found that my fastest typing switch was Matias Quiet Clicks. Something about tactile but non-clicky Alps makes you type fast.

FWIW I type way faster on these than on dampened Alps.
I should note that some of my fastest typing switches aren't exactly my favourites, while I type very slowly on some of my favourite switches. These rank very high on both scales, although I still prefer blue Alps.
Buckling springs also rank pretty high on both scales, btw.

I've had 4 or 5 1390120's go in/out of my inventory throughout the years. Every single one of them had noticeably lighter springs than any of the M's made in the 1990's which made them quite pleasant to use.

Interesting. Mine is a grey label from 1987 with a black AT cable so it should theoretically feel lighter.
The only other heavy switches I have are SKCL Brown which are 70g bottom out and they feel substantially lighter, granted they are linears and you can't really compare that to BS.

I had no idea that Apple made so many courageous decisions regarding keyboard layouts. I've used a few Apples back in the day, but didn't notice that much variation in layout. Maybe we had different Apple keyboards down here.

Nice review as always. I have an AEK with Salmon. Been wanting to get my hands on a M0116 or an AEK with oranges, but I'm being cheap.
