Title: Non-shine-through Keycaps with RGB LED switches
Post by: atypikal on Mon, 09 January 2017, 04:37:53
Hi all. First post as a wannabe builder.

I am interested to get your thoughts on using standard, completely opaque PBT keycaps on RBG switches. Does the RGB LED effect feel wasted when using opaque keycaps? Most of the keycap designs that have caught my attention seem to be opaque keycaps.

P.S. If any of you could post pictures of your RGB build with opaque keycaps that would be great  :)

Thanks

Josh

I think it's a nicer look with opaque caps and the light spilling and mixing from under the caps.

Wow that's really nice. It seems like by doing that you get the RGB aesthetic, but without it being too distracting.
