Title: It is hard to play CS:GO w/ my cat sitting in front of my monitors
Post by: atarione on Tue, 10 January 2017, 00:58:30
as you can see my cat Fitz has decided to hang out in front of my monitor making playing CS:GO much more difficult .. he is all sitting on the mouse cord which isn't helping.. but as you can see he is a pretty awesome cat ..so I just deal with it..

ur only getting ~200fps in that photo there..   cats require more frame rate , they have faster motion processing ability.

oh boy, that's no good..

You don't want mismatching ram.. it introduces extra latency due to the non parallel memory channel configuration

the 4770k should do 300 out of the box.. might be some spyware on there..

See if you can bump to 4.2-4.4ghz on stock volts.. ,  unpark cpu,  lock to 100% during gaming, use timer-resolution to reduce latency..

Up the volt to 1.355 and try 4.7-4.8..   it's important you unpark,,  and also turn off all the power protection/ power gating in the motherboard..

if you got one of those boards that scale back active vrms , turn that off too..

Fitz has continued to enjoy jumping up and watching the gaming.. he apparently likes all sorts of games because he jumps up and does the same thing to my wife when she plays whatever casual facebook games she plays ...

cats love esports apparently..
