Hmm, I was actually surprised that it went for that little. SSK's seem to fetch more like $200 or more I always though. This one could be cleaned to look like new. That marker would come right off with isopropyl alcohol too!

Maybe. I have found that "older" (years? decades?) marker and adhesive residue will sometimes work its way down into the plastic and become impossible to remove completely.

I was watching this auction but decided against bidding. I did notice the darker marker scribble was applied over a piece of transparent tape so that might come off okay with the tape but that faded marker spooked me. I did a test on a junker keyboard case with Magic Eraser as suggested in homemaker's forums. It basically sanded the plastic away. I took a look at the test spot today and the marker I thought I had rubbed away was back. Very faint but noticeable.
