Starting to feel the thaw...
It's like spring wafting in the breeze.. a slight warmness between each cool one.

It's only hitting -22c here tonight, sooooooo

Only getting progressively colder in SC so I guess not
-
Maybe for you guys in America. Europe is getting ****ed by Jack Frost right now.

Saw some hail for two minutes at half midnight, that's as close to the promised first snow of Winter as it got here. The grass was frozen a couple of mornings which is a poor substitute but looks good...
It's been dark and cloudy for so long I forgot what non-winter is like though.

+10ˇC on New Year's Eve. -12ˇC a week ago. +3ˇC now. It comes and goes.
Meteorologists over here define the beginning of spring as when the average daytime temperature is positive for seven consecutive days... but with climate change, that definition may have to be thrown into the rubbish bin.

Same here.
It was almost 70F Wednesday night today we have a potential ice storm.

It snowed AGAIN here last night but it's slowly going away, temp around 3 C. Not that wintery tbh.

Here in Connecticut they've been hyping up this winter to bring some monstrous snows. I remember a few years back we got a freak storm and most of the state was without power for over a week. Thankfully the natural gas still worked, so we had hot showers and the stove still worked. Eating canned soup and doing jigsaws by candlelight for days on end is not my idea of a good time!

Meanwhile, here I am missing the snow :(
-
..... still summer

No joke, in my first year here they evacuated the entire campus, mid-exam, when it started to snow :p .

Not even February yet, so no. Nothing like that 40 degree 'thaw' though, right?
