Cheap Optimus Maximus (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260545756747&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT), been used only 52 hours at a trade show. A steal.

A keyboard suitable only for reselling.

I pass. For 700 euros, I could buy a legion of keyboards with custom key caps in a switch that I prefer.

...For strange definitions of "cheap".
If it's going to be $1000+ USD, it had better be made in the US.

Yes, but my point was more that it costs a bit high for it to be made in the usual places in China.
-
God, you're all so cheap.
Luckily we have one European member who's expressly not cheap, so I'm confident he'll get it and post an extensive review. Before burying it in a brown card board box for the rest of it's days.

If you're talking about webwit: he doesn't need one (http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=103628&postcount=3).

It's not all that bad. It does use Cherry MLs, after all. That said, strictly as a keyboard, it's not all that inspiring. Webwit goes for the more exotic stuff (generally ergo 'boards) and IBMs.

for god's sake its a designer icon , not really keyboard that actually made for typing.....
tell them to down the price to $300ish cuz they whole geekhack community will be interested with it
-
Four different bidders, final price €655, more than $900. My ass. Didn't expect this monster to sell at all.
-
Depending on the model (the one with all OLED keys vs. the one with only some OLED keys), that's a significant savings over a brand-new one. To the "aye liek teh shinee" crowd, the Optimus Maximus is like the Holy Grail.
Who wants to bet that the buyer is a Mac user?

...which is the price of a good (albeit subsidized) mobile phone in the US. Not the stratospheric prices that Lebedev would quote.
Bump it down to $300 and have someone like Unicomp make it.
