Greetings all, new guy in NOVA. Been posting for a while but figured a formal hello was in order.
I have noticed that lots of folks have graphical representations of keyboards they have/use in their signatures. Are people using photos of their boards or is there some kind of repository that someone has going of the images? Just curious, thought it was a cool little thing to add....
Also, there has been a lot of discussion of KeyCon 2017 (that I have been participating in.) Are there ever any regional meetups that people put together?

Do you use the url of the image in the signature section?

Do you use the url of the image in the signature section?
Use
with the URL in your signature using the URL of the image you want, should work without too much trouble, and if you have a custom board you can post a good photo and we can make one to match your board

What is the link that is supposed to be pulling from?

Not working for me either, I would recommending linking to an image in the forum, you can post an image directly as an attachment and link to it through the forum, might work better

I whipped these up real quick, see if either of them work

OK, so those do not have a url, do we need to upload them somewhere. Sorry about this, really appreciate the help.

Hey no worries, happy to help. I right click on them and 'open the image in a new tab/window' the new tab/window should have a URL for the image
For the boardered Planck the URL should be https://geekhack.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=87163.0;attach=159317;image
For the unboardered one use https://geekhack.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=87163.0;attach=159318;image

Huh, if I open in a tab it just goes straight to download. Must have that set somewhere. Trying it now with your link.

Looks like no dice again.... :)

Head over to https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=19113.0 find one you like and see if you can get the URL for the image, if it doesn't work for you at all throw another message on here with a pick and I'll hook you up

Hahaha! Looks like you got it!! Now if you put the code in the same line, maybe with a few spaces between them, you should be able to have them one after the other, if you want to, like I have mine, you can add text on the next line and add spaces to get the text centered.

OK, so now the question is why is the Planck image sitting so high....designed that way maybe?

Progress!

Nice! Looking good! Could probably remove a blank line or two between the text and the image code to bring the ext up closer to the images, but I'm glad you finally got it working!
Also, you don't have to create new posts to test if it saves you time, once you save a signature change you can just reload the page where you have a post already in place and it should update! Hope that helps

Cool

Yeah, figured out to refresh.
What I ended up doing was putting it into a text editor without a word wrap and then copying and pasting it directly into the field. Must have had a strange page break or something.
