Title: Unicomp Spacesaver M: Undocumented Fn Lock function?
Post by: macguy80 on Tue, 24 January 2017, 20:21:40
I was hammering away, and all of a sudden, the Function light came on and stayed on. No amount of hammering Fn would make it turn off, though it did blink with every press.

Then I realized that I hit Right shift at the same time. This appeared to toggle it on and off. Thinking it might be a physical problem with the keyboard given the proximity of the keys, I decided to experiment. I hit Fn and LEFT Shift, and the same thing happened. That would seem to negate a physical problem, since THOSE keys are not right next to each other.

Sometimes, using either shift key, it takes a couple presses to engage or disengage the lock.

At least I don't RECALL reading about a lock function.

A flood of responses :))

I wonder if this is a modern version of the Shift-ScrollLock of the original SSK to toggle the numpad feature.
