Post by: meltie on Wed, 03 February 2010, 04:18:49
Hi,

does the Dell AT102D have the same Alps sliders as the AT101W?

Thanks in advance,

meltie

I saw that AT102D, too. It's the German layout version of the AT101, apparently the newer version with black Alps in this case.

An interesting point is raised here that didn't occur to me earlier - the -102D is going to be a winkey-less Dell. If it it was old enough, it may have the Pink Alps switches would are preferable to the Black ones, and the higher construction quality that you see in SGI AT-101s. You could tell immeadiately which variant you have by the logo - the originals had the older Dell logo, which was DELL written in a Time New Roman like font, with a blue line above and under the writing.

That's not the  old Dell logo.
