Title: Resonating metal backplate
Post by: Phoebe Gordon on Tue, 07 February 2017, 15:53:21
Hey there,

today I received my Drevo Gramr. It's mostly very fine, also very sturdy.
However every time I release a key and it springs back in it's place, the whole metal backplate resonates.

I tried dampening it with tissues and the like and o-rings. Nothing helped. (6 years ago, someone had the same issue. But nobody had an answer back then: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=8997)

Anyone having the same issues or knows a solution to this? I will try weighing the backplate down, maybe that will help...

It's called "ping"

Put a rubber drawer liner inbetween the plate and the case, and put a thick mat under your keyboard.

If that doesn't fix it, it's a quality issue with your keyboard.
