hello,
i would like to hear some opinions on my next order.
i personally came down to hhkb pro2 with hasu bluetooth controller as a main keyboard.
i love keyboard so much and got used to layout. i switch between mac layout on laptop and hhkb hosted on top of my macbook.
i am looking for most soft/light real mechanical switch hhkb layout compatible keyboard. money is not an issue and it should not be as rare as a unicorn.
so i found that https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hhkb-mechanical-keyboard-kit-anode-aluminum-cnc-custom-cherry-shaft-with-light/32719978752.html and i think about getting gateron clear on that keyboard.
is there any users of that keyboard? any opinions? maybe i could get some recommendations for other keybords that could fit my description?

I thought you were talking about weight at first and was going to say that the HHKB will be the lightest then realized that you were talking about switches. Yes, Gat clears are the lightest. I have not tried them personally but spring swapping would also be an option on other switches

yeah, sorry. i meant switches.
i have had fc660m with reds but personally i would prefer lighter/softer switches.
i think about something like gateron clear or cherry clear switches but the thing is - i could not find any hhkb style keyboard except link above on aliexpress and KMAC Happy (tried to get it. no success).
maybe there is something like keyboard with clears that could switch to hhkb layout via dip switches or something like that?

Could always just order some super light springs and do a spring swap. That's a lot of work, though.

Lighter than gateron clears? I'm not sure anyone makes those.

I admit I'm not the most diligent in checking to see what people make.
Could be possible that some obscure manufacturer makes 'em, though.

thank you, made an order of gateron clears + o-rings from kbdfans on ali. hope that will work... but what about other hhkb layout compatible keyboards? is there anything else for me?

What is the average weight of an Alps64 board constructed?

The KMAC happy was THE SH** but it was a groupbuy so I highly doubt that it will be available
There might be some people over on this side that want to sell theirs, but international shipping might be an issue for them. I can look it up for you, but I'm not seeing anyone currently.
for now all you have left is acrylic cases because the aluminum cases are all gone. You can try out the winkeyless.kr pcbs, I think they're compatible with the hhkb layout, or you can go with the aliexpress kit that you mentioned earlier.
but no, sadly, you have no other options currently. I'll post something if there is a potential seller for the KMAC happy.

KMAC Happy is heavy AF don't get one if you want a light board

i just received that keyboard (gateron clears) plus i am (right now) in process of adding o-rings to it... what feels horrible is that spacebar. can i somehow make it smooth? it is loudly bounce back and forth (that balancers on the sides are the source of noise) a little and make noise.
can that somehow be easily fixed? gateron clears itself with orings feels so perfect and only downside here is that stabilizers ;)
