Title: Programming JigOn in OSX w/ Windows guest VM
Post by: doom2 on Wed, 01 March 2017, 15:11:21
Trying to program my TX-CP using a Windows VM (macOS 10.12.3 host, Win 8.1 guest) and the JigOn software (version 151116). Plug the keyboard in, start up JigOn, go to Keyboard --> Connect. JigOn gives me a "connected" popup, but when I press a key on the board, it doesn't register in JigOn. When I map in JigOn, it gives me an affirmative message that it wrote to the keyboard, but testing it shows it didn't work.

Thoughts? Something I have to change in Virtualbox to make the keyboard recognized correctly?

Is it just that it doesnt work through VM? It works normally in OSX?

To program the keyboard, you need the JigOn software, which is Windows-only.

If you can enable pass-through of the USB device to the VM you may have success.
Using emulated devices won't work.
