I'll give it a clean before I send it off.

EDIT: You were actually absolutely right. The cap had gathered some dust and I cleaned it up and uploaded new pictures. Hope these do it justice.

No, but the HHKB is included.

If you don't like the price please send me a PM and we can negotiate something. I did an earnest price check in the valuation thread and two of these had been recently sold for 550 a piece.

Yeah i want to buy this but not when the price is based on what some guy said he sold them for in a "private" sale 3 months ago and the last public purchase was $125 cheaper at $375.  Hopefully someone else replies back with an answer based on reality and not what someone was duped into paying.

oh he is getting free bumps.  I wasn't saying OP did anything wrong - I just don't see how the valuation thread is anything but completely worthless when people, like OP, are using it in good faith and people respond with bogus numbers from a "private sale".  **** I will pay $500 for it if that really is the real market value if someone can point me to a sale more recent. 

Moral is: OP went to the valuation thread to get the value.  Some dude said he sold two in a private sale for $550.  OP comes here and posts for 500.  I ask what that is based on.  Points to valuation thread.  If OP made it up himself it is what it is however that wasn't the case.   

Sad this gets all these approvals from mods.

I wouldn't say that sale prices from private sales are bogus man. You have to take them into account and trust the word of people sometimes to get values for caps that aren't often sold on the public market, like clacks.

Look man, if you don't think the clack is worth 500, don't buy it. 

Long gone are the days where artisans are openly sold for reasonable/retail pricing.  Sure, it sometimes happens, but very rarely.  It's a free market, and he can list his stuff for whatever he wants to.  You have the choice of whether you are willing to spend the money.

Okay, we also don't know what he bought the two caps for before he sold them. This doesn't matter though. $500 is a perfectly reasonable price for a Nightowl MkII

Where is anything to back the price up.  I am not saying no one will pay that because I have no clue - some people are idiots and mail 10,000 checks to people in Nigeria.  If I don't know how much it is worth myself, then how do I know I am not the one sending 10,000 to Price Eustafar right now?   I want the damn thing and have much more than $500 to throw at it but that doesn't mean I am going to just write a blank check.  Man I need to sell stuff here...

Private sales and ebay. You won't always be able to find concrete evidence of sales as private sales happen but you need to take people at their word sometimes.

I'm not following.  Why are his opinions on flipping important to the sale price of a cap?  If the caps were sold in private for 550, then those are valid data points to help assess the going price for the caps. 

If you simply don't believe the claims, then that's a separate issue, but unfortunately they are the only recent sales to go off of.
