Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been reading the forums for a bit so I decided to jump on in. I have a Unicomp Model M clone so I know what all the fuss is all about :biggrin:

I dunno. The wallet rape is actually a lot less than other pursuits. You could spend way more on Hi Fi or Pc Cooling or fishing or golfing.

Hi-Fi? Check PC Cooling? Check. Add to that Music Production and Big Ass Trikes as well as photography. These are glaringly expensive though. If you get into it you know this from the outset... this is just keyboards though... how much can you spend?

A hell of a lot more than you initially think. You just have to try out every swtich (I'm working through Cherries at the moment), and when you have one you like, you need a backup. And a Loaner board. and a travel board, so a Tenkeyless is needed...

Once you get used to the fact that good switches and boards cost money unless you score lucky on th e'bay or a thrift shop, then it's not so bad. Not any cheaper, it just hurts less.

Wow, pretty far off then. It's the glasses combined with the image quality...something just says "1980s serial criminal".
