Today I found an avant stellar keyboard in outstanding condition. I am trying to sell it online, but need some info about how much it is worth so I can list it properly. I am new to keyboards and don't know too much. I do know that it uses simplified white alps switches.[attach=1][attach=2]

It would help to see the whole keyboard to be sure of the model. This one has function keys both left and top?
I owned one of these after Northgate stopped selling keyboards. Personally, I don't think they're as good as the Northgates, partly because of the change to simplified Alps, and the keycaps are inferior. But there should still be a market.
I don't know the current value, but you might get $100, maybe more. I'd probably put it up on eBay and let the market tell me what it's worth.

Here's a couple more photos. I thought I put one of the whole thing. My mistake. It is in really good Shape though

I didn't know any of the Omnikeys came with simplified switches. I have only heard of them coming with SKCM White and a rare few with SKCM Blue.
But this one does appear to be a fairly late model judging by the Windows keys so maybe the very last Northgate Omnikeys came with simplified?

Yikes! Bad pad-printed caps and mucho shine. I would say that you would be lucky to get $40-$50 for it.
It would still be a great chassis for a transplant project, but without good keys it becomes a lot less desirable.

The non-Northgate ones did, to put it in a simplified (:P) way.
I think I got shown this keyboard recently xD .
I agree with Fohat though, the keyboard appears to be heavily used, which is not good. Looks very clean though. I guess it would make someone a good chassis for modification.

The Northgates had double-shot caps and (usually white) complicated Alps, but Avant Stellar made some changes. I have Northgates that are older than this board, and the caps do show some shine but no damage to the legends. Alps keycaps aren't always easy to find, but there's a currently a double-shot ABS set on Massdrop.
The Avant Stellars do have a programming feature that I think some people still use, and I'm one of the die-hards who loves function keys on the left side of the keyboard.

The programming function is extremely unreliable as the chip almost invariably fails apparently, and taking out the chips is common practice nowadays.

The keyboard does appear to be heavily used because the key feel is uneven throughout the board, something that would probably be fine on a complicated alps board. it is not as uniform as a dell bigfoot is.

I had a fairly worn out SKCM White board that was inconsistent feeling. But it was both slightly dirty and used.
