There's a brief translation of the part at the end of first picture
Programming Example
1. Connect keyboard
2. Launch software
3. Click Download to read current layout
4. Click on keyboard (I think it means the keyboard in GUI) to change key value
such as A, (coordinate COL3, ROW2)
5. Select from the table of available key values in the table below
6. Click upload to upload to keyboard. The upload finishes when light stops flashing.
It's not explicitly stated, but based on the pictures, I guess the default layout is standard QWERTY and function layers are accessed by pressing fn keys. There's a brief translation of the part at the end of first picture

Thanks! Do the images have anything that tells what the default mapping is or how you access the function layers?
To participate, do we need to use a proxy? You can go directly through TaoBao as far as I have seen (it's what I did). If you do international shipping with TaoBao they ship it to a distribution center then you pay the international shipping. Luckily domestic shipping on this is free, so it's just the $90 +whatever the international shipping cost is.
Oh man. This looks pretty solid for the price- might have to jump on this.I'm hoping it turns out nice!

Couldn't resist, ended up joining. The low price makes it worth the gamble for me. I've been looking for a solid 96 kit since I missed AMJ/ZZ and this looks to be just as good for my tastes as well as much cheaper + no egregious typing angle compared to a Duck. Also sounds like it might turn-around relatively quickly.Nice! Yeah I've wanted this layout for a bit, but at $3-400 before you get to switches and caps I just couldn't justify it. I was actually about to order a B.Mini EX X2 since it's really close in layout but took another look on tao bao and found this!
Thanks again for posting this.
/noice...I mean the PCB seems to be less flexible and maybe not as nice, but it does the layout I want and I don't need anything crazy on that end so I think it'll be just fine for me.
i kept telling you guys those kmacs are a huge ripoff at $400..
Now ya'll know the truth.. machining is cheap
This keyboard probably cost around $40 to produce in small quantities.. ~25-30 in 2000+ orders.
Well, I think I just joined you guys in the buy. TaoBao was a bit terrifying, even with translation turned on and referring to various guides. Is there anything I need to do after the payment step? Or can I theoretically wait for this thing to magically appear at my door in the USA?You can chat with the seller through the chat app that taobao uses (aliwangwang...I know) to tell him your case color preference. Just keep in mind he's going to be putting whatever you type into google translate since he doesn't speak english so keep your language as basic as you can.
Edit: shoot. I just remembered I never chose a color for the case. Does that mean I missed a step, or was I supposed to put it in the comments?

Well I just jumped on the band wagon as well :D Thanks Ouhei for posting this. Not that I have seen, I'm going to be looking into that some today hopefully and will update here if I find anything.
I have to say that buying through taobao has been the most adventurous online store I have ever experienced.
Is there anywhere that tells me where to download the firmware and such?
Yeah I purchased through a proxy and got a message this morning saying I had to confirm a color so I assume the seller reached out the proxy. Chances are the seller will do that for you as well but as Ouhei said you should be fine to just message and let him know.

I've been using superbuy.com for a few things now and it's been a pretty good experience, their system is pretty easy to navigate. Like most proxies they provide photos/etc when they get your product and have done a good job (in my experience) of obviously handling the unknowns/translations for you. That being said they're not super fluent in English but can use it effectively enough for the role. Their shipping prices have been reasonable and in my experience they don't up charge significantly for their services. (~5%?)
They give you tons of shipping options depending on your product and the two orders I've had have been packaged pretty nicely. I tried going into taobao 'virgin' and it was pretty difficult, but obviously it's possible. I'd recommend them, but again I've only ever used them, but from my experience their slight up charge is worth the convenience.
If you go through taobao.com they have their own shipping to usa now..Yeah, the hardest part of taobao is operating through google translate. But they offer international shipping now so if you take the time to figure out the site a bit you can go without a proxy.
it's their own fulfillment centers.
it's like $10 first pound, each additional 0.5pound @ $7
something like that..
Since the buy has "ended" I contacted the seller again, he said they will be shipping in 15-30 days.
Haha, yeah it certainly sounds like it's going to put some other buys to shame if it's this quick. From my understanding all of the components have been produced before through similar buys so it's basically just putting an order in with the factory. I keep thinking there's got to be something we're missing, but hopefully it's just that the PCB isn't as flexible as the others and the case isn't quite as nice (The feet aren't as nice looking at least). Still, if it comes out fine the price difference more than makes up for any of that.Since the buy has "ended" I contacted the seller again, he said they will be shipping in 15-30 days.
Man, if this really turns around that quickly it's gonna make lots of other buys look shameful in some aspects. I just hope there's not blatant catch we're missing :P
I ordered 2 through SuperBuy after talking with the seller. This could be very interesting. I grabbed a blue to see how it will look next to my M65-A Hydro when it comes in... Thanks OP for the post, this is a great find.Happy others were looking for the same thing I was! This is my first custom build and I'm pretty excited to get started.
Is this closed or can I still order via a proxy.

I contacted the seller and he said (from what I gathered) even though the GB period is technically over, it hasn't started production and he let me put in an order. I followed the howtotao instructions and used taobao cargo. I think it got everything right :D We'll see if I'm able to do the next step and pay the warehouse.
Interesting - thank goodness I do speak Chinese although it'll be my first time buying anything from taobao.com. Looking into this closely. Feel free to ping me if you guys need anything translated though.Anything you can do to help decipher the function layer and the firmware stuff would be greatly appreciated!

it looks like it's just PS2AVR / bootmapper client per your original posts which means it can be anything you want, no?

Ah okay-
So yeah with PS2AVR/Bootmapper you can just reprogram any key to do anything basically. I believe PS2AVR supports up to 3 separate function layers- but maybe more? So realistically you could program your A key to be function (not that you would, but you get the idea).
It's tough to see if the PCB supports 3 1u's next to the spacebar because that's usually where people put their dedicated function- but if not, you'd just have to dedicate a different key to function. I recently learned people generally use capslock as their dedicated function key with the type of layout shown.
Hopefully this helps. Another good key to dedicate IMO would be the 00 on the numpad.
But with bootmapper it has all functionality to allow you to code pretty neat little things like your standard volume up, etc.
Ah, that makes sense, I'll probalby end up turning right alt or control to FN then, or maybe one of the buttons over the numpad...I think so, I've just never used PS2AVR before and was curious how function worked since there doesn't seem to be a dedicated function key according to the layout shown?Interesting - thank goodness I do speak Chinese although it'll be my first time buying anything from taobao.com. Whoever first sees their package arrive at taobao cargo please post here to alert the rest of us that we should be on the lookout. Not sure if they actually contact you or you need to check in periodically. Only used proxies in the past. We're approaching the expected shipping window, hopefully we start getting updates soon!
Can anyone tell if this supports UK ISO layout? Seems perfect for me apart from that. Not that I am aware of, you can try contacting the seller or we'll know more once the boards come in.
I messaged the seller and he said it's taking a little longer because they ended up selling a lot more than they expected with 130 units.
Hi this is my first reply here at geekhack and this will be my first build! I've ordered this GSX96 through the proxy service of bhiner (im in the UK)and i found out the colours still available are silver, grey, blue and red. I also asked is there a wait and apparently the taobao seller said he will be sending out at the end of April. hope this is helpful, i made my purchase today if anyones still thinking of buying.
Just got an aliwangwang pm from the seller today, saying that the PCBs came in with the screw holes in the wrong place. He estimates shipping around 4.30 now.

I'd personally go zealio. The smoothness and less wobble is with sacrificing a little tactility. Thanks for the input, I was leaning MOD for the bump, but Zealios do have quite the backing from the community.
Any movement or updates on this?
Yeah we should hopefully get tracking updates this weekend/Monday. I'll be contacting the seller Tuesday if I haven't gotten anything.Any movement or updates on this?
I haven't talked to the taobao vendor but my superbuy order says it's supposed to ship on April 30th.
Still showing as not shipped for me. Hopefully very soon though!Same for me, going to try messaging the guy tomorrow.

Any luck messaging the guy? My Proxy Seller (Bhiner) says he's not replying...
Anyone know if there are extras after the GB? I've sent him a message on taobaoI believe he's going to be running another round? I think there was a slight price increase though (or it will go back down once enough people join).
Yeah, I'm tuned in now, too. Having missed the first GB, I want to watch carefully not to miss the next round. Looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks when they arrive.

I'll have some extras on mehkee.com - I helped him hit his MOQ and some suggestions.
It won't be a crazy markup, just a slight margin to recover on held money for 2 months but shipping costs to here are going to hurt badly.
Mine was marked as shipped!Same here, guess I should figure out my switches now.
Does this come with the CNC feet like in one of the pictures? and the light underneath, is it just LEDs straight on the underside of the PCB?I assume the CNC feet will be included. Can't confirm anything until we get our kits though.

It appears to come with feet & it does appear there is an acrylic diffuser but it looks like it's 3 pieces.
can't figure out what's in the bottom left bag though, looks like an arrow cluster? I can't figure it out.

Mine's still sitting at the warehouse it seems, can't wait to get my hands on it.Which did you use, UPS, DHL or post office?
Tao bao is a bit confusing though because I have already paid my international shipping fee but it still shows that its in the Chinese warehouse pending payment. My guess is that the website won't get updated on the weekend.
Oh not sure. I was told tao bao has international shipping inbuilt now. So I just stuck with that.I used the same thing, shipping came out to around $20 for me.

Definitely looks like something to do with the arrow keys, very odd. I presume one of these bags contains all the necessary screws as well, where did you find this picture?

It's my inspection photo from superbuy. I assume all the screws are in the bag with the feet, but I still cannot for the life of me figure out what that other bag is- guess it'll be a surprise or whoever gets theirs first can report back.
Based on the fact that he's testing pcbs one by one, had more orders than expected, and is a one man show, I'm figuring it will take him awhile to package up and ship orders. At least we know he's in ship mode now, so those of us at the end of the queue just have to sit tight. I know I'll be one of the last since I got in after the GB period was technically over.
Well, gang, UPS is telling me that my order is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I'm skeptical, because last time I used UPS as a reshipped for Taobao, they told me that and I didn't actually get the item until a couple of days later. But, I should have mine by Thursday at the latest, I think. Now it's in LAX clearance. If that doesn't take too long I should have it on Friday.
Edit: I looked at my previous shipments again. Some took longer than 3 days. So it's possible I won't see this till late this week or maybe even after this weekend. It will only be one day from the time customs releases it, but that could take some time.

From the pictures it looks like it supports both so I would just get PCB mount and if it doesn't you can just worst case clip them.
You'll need PCB mounted stabilizers (I don't think it supports plate) and I think it only supports a 6.25 spacebar

I definitely don't think it supports Costar stabs, most things don't unless explicitly stated, they require different cutouts than Cherry.
It MIGHT support Plate mounted Cherry Stabs on some of the keys, but I don't know how it would work w/ the Enter since it is universal to allow ISO. Someone else can probably clear this up.
I know for certain it supports PCB mounted cherry stabs.
Well TIL thanks!
Someone previously said " it says all you need to buy is switches, stabilizers, and in-switch LEDs." does this mean it comes with diodes and resistors already soldered on? I don't know if you can tell from the pictures.

There's one fuzzy picture in the listing that shows diodes and resistors pre-soldered. You're good to go!

Mine's still in NYC Clearance, so hopefully it clears early this week!Same for me. Still in customs (though LAX)
I just received mine today. So excited to actually build my first keyboard. So much work.
Awesome that they're starting to come in for people! Mine shows "[Overseas] SecaucusTransferred Through Transit Point" as it's latest update so it's through customs at this point, hopefully I have it by the end of the week.
I'm just relieved that they're real and I didn't inadvertently sucker a bunch of you into some scam, lol.
Mine just shipped from taobao cargo. Fit and finish on that case isn't top notch, but absolutely looks to be an excellent deal for what we all paid. I also got titanium gray, and the color looks awesome. The only issue I really see is that the diffusor looks like it might not sit perfectly flush with the case, other than that it looks great in the pictures. That could be an issue with everything not being screwed in place too?

Unless we find out the PCB's don't work properly or some other major underlying issue I think this GB has been an above average home-run. The price was outrageously good (Look at it compared to "Welfare96"- That ends up being the same price or more expensive and it's not even aluminum + it was limited) and the turn-around was 6 sigma above literally any other group buy ever including the what, 2 week delay?
Just based on the photo above it looks pretty slick.
Woo!

There was actually a relatively high defect rate of PCBs from the manufacturer which is why there was a slight delay for testing all the PCBs.
We let the individual orders get filled first before my larger group order so I ended up not getting nearly half of the boards I purchased... On the positive side, everyone should be getting their boards soon and the GB runner will have a better idea of production numbers and failure rate to meet the total orders next time (if there is a next time..though I'm pushing for a R2!).

Is your shipping address listed correctly at the bottom of that tracking page. Should be the last line under [Overseas section transport]as far as I can tell it is, yeah.

Got a chance to look over the kit a bit last night and I'm really happy with the quality so far, some thoughts:Switchtop.com. Super reliable, super quick to ship, good prices, has 2u in Stock.
- The case is heavier/thicker than I thought it would be, I love the weight of it and how solid it feels
- I too have the line going across the sides, looks like this is from the milling process, it's barely noticeable unless you're looking for it though
- The acrylic inserts aren't perfect, but when you look at it overall they look fine, not worried about it.
- The nameplate is interesting, I don't think mine has a way to actually attach it to the case? I thought there'd be adhesive on the back but I'm not finding anything to peel off. I'll probably just leave it off.
- I'm not the biggest fan of the feed design but they're not bad and they're not visible once they're on anyways. I'm going to get some rubber/silicon sticky feet to put on the bottom edge of the case as well.
Now I just gotta order switches, stabilizers and a soldering gun...lol

Edit: where are you guys buying your stabilizers? I'm having a hard time finding a good place that lets me buy individual 2x ones since we need 5 and all the "sets" I'm finding come with 4. Would prefer clear ones but black works.

Hi everyone - I talked to the seller and he's doing a follow-on of the GSX96 that's a little cheaper since it'll be an acrylic case (which is better if you like RGB everywhere!)
GB price is 438 yuan and comes with the acrylic case / switch plate, PCB, and aluminum feet.

Ends in a few days!
I can't even load taobao now. It keeps directing me to tmall.I'm still debating between Zealios and Mods, I'm a little annoyed that shipping is $15 from ZealPC which makes it $100 instead of like $80 for the Mods...I'll keep insessently pressing my switch sampler some more I guess.
Who's installing zealios and which one ? I'm tossing between 62g and 65g

I've been playing with a switch tester for a few weeks now, Zeals feel smoother and more refined for sure, but the bump in the MODs feels bigger/more noticeable. I type on Cherry Browns all day at work and the MODs feel like a slightly heavier version with a bigger bump, which sort of solves the shortcomings I have With the Cherry Browns. I'm using Gat browns at home right now and while they're way smoother than Cherry Browns, the bump is harder to feel because of it.I can't even load taobao now. Zeals are superior to mods IMO. And you can sort of bypass the obnoxious Zeal Shipping Premium by ordering zealios from KBDfans on Aliexpress/his website as they'll ship cheaper from China- just take longer, in the end it should save you a few dollars.
As useful as switch testers are, they are only so effective. They can only help you grasp the fundamental feel, but a full board of switches is going to obviously tell you different things.Yeah, I wish I could compare them directly for sure. Gonna take another day or so and make my decision. My keycaps are still not in so I have some time.
I was convinced based on my switch tester that mod's were hands down the zeal killer, but when I actually outfitted a full board of them I sort of regretted it almost immediately.
They're tactile, but there is just something off about them and I never truly feel content using them, in my opinion it's the wobble- it literally feels like I could bend the keycap 90 degrees while typing. Obviously, though, it's all preference.
I had a switch tester with both and they both seemed great to me. But after I installed each in different boards, I loved the zealios in comparison. I have since bought a lot more zealios and sold the board with the mods.As useful as switch testers are, they are only so effective. Went in for two acrylics, but I can always take an aluminum one off mehkees later down the road

Holtites have been nothing but trouble for me. One some PCBs they don't work at all. On some they'll work for a while now and then give you headaches down the road. I've used several different kinds of holtites with several different PCBs and have not been happy with any in the long run. Just my. 02That's disappointing to hear! Everything I've found suggests it's basically a matter of them working with the PCB or not, but I haven't seen too many long term use write ups either. They're appealing because I love this layout and don't want to have to sell off the board if I ever want to change switches because finding this was a pain in the ass, lol.
Just finished mine:
Pretty good little kit for the price. The front piece flexes and the center of the keyboard flexes a little bit - not sure if I missed something but I'll pop it open again and see what's up. I figured out how to turn off the RGB lighting (kinda over that whole thing), but the caps lock and num lock glow green - anyone know how to change that to white?
Been typing on it all day at work and the flexing is bothersome when typing all hardcore on these gateron greens. Will definitely take it apart when I get home to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Another bothersome thing - my Q key rides lower than all of my other keys, and it is bothering the piss out of me! How is this even possible with the plate lol? Guess I'll desolder it and back it out a teensy bit? Shrug. This is my first build so if anyone has insight on that it'd be appreciated.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/30ZZnW3.jpg)
As soon as I ordered the kit I figured I'd need to add additional standoffs to prevent flexing in the middle of the PCB. My plan is to measure the existing standoffs in the case, purchase additional loose standoffs (like you'd use on a sandwich style case), screw them to the bottom of the PCB in all unused holes (there's several), apply a dab of JB weld to the bottom of each, then assemble the case. At least, that's the initial plan, subject to change when I have it in hand. I may opt for strong double sided tape at first and see if it rattles.
Desoldering isn't that hard. I have this Tenma 21-8240 Vacuum Desoldering Iron https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008DJRYIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_SBfLSqd31C2rj and it makes it super easy.Holtites have been nothing but trouble for me. So, is the aluminium kit still for sale, and if it is, where can I get one?
So, is the aluminium kit still for sale, and if it is, where can I get one?
It is not, supposedly very few extras on mehkee.com at some point.
Unwrapped mine yesterday. Anodization in very nice (no lines) but unfortunately my case has a ding in the top left edge. These should have been double boxed >:D PCB looks good but I haven't tested yet. I mocked everything up and I'll definitely be adding 2-3 standoffs to the center area to eliminate flex. Won't get to soldering until June as I'm going on vacation (woe is me!!)Sucks yours got dinged man!
Alright, that's what I thought.
Since they took the feet out of the bag for my inspection photo they might just forgot to put it into my package.
Edit: Superbuy told me they'll contact the seller about the missing parts. In the end I don't know but also don't care if the seller screwed up or Superbuy, as long as I get them.
I was really lucky to find this thread, because I had no idea what I was even supposed to get at all. I only knew about the big items, the case, PCB and plate, since I just Google Translated the taobao page (which isn't completely accurate or legible).
I have no idea what the screws and standoffs are and where I would got some. I hope Superbuy gets the missing parts from the seller and sends them to me.
I picked one of these up in silver from the seller on Taobao. I also didn't recieve the screws/feet, or missed them in the shipping box, and already threw them out...
I ordered some stainless steel button socket head screws in M2 x 5mm from a local supplier. I wanted to go with black screws, but all the black screws I found were low quality, so I went with the stainless.
I've got some feet coming from winnja.com. I've got a batch of gateron browns, some krytox, switch stickers, cherry stabs, and leds coming from mehkee.com. I was all set to place my order from switchtop but the gateron browns were out of stock, so I went with mehkee.
So, just so I'm perfectly clear, if anyone wants to chime in... No screws hold the plate to the case? All screws go through the place and hold the PCB to the case, and technically, the plate is held in by the soldered in switches. Is this correct?
I've been into R/C cars, planes, and helis for years, but this is my first kb build, I think it's going to be fun :D
EDIT: Also, I went with pcb mount switches, for the extra tabs, and it looks like the pcb will be able to support them. I figure any extra support is good. Am I crackin' smoke on this? I figure worse case, I can cut the extra pins of, but it looks like they'll work with this board.
Can anyone possibly take a look at their PCB/ take a picture of this area:

I believe I'm missing some SMD components and I'm trying to figure out what they are, I think it's the root cause for all my RGB led's not working.
I'd contact the seller but I don't know how to etc.
I'm 99% sure that's a 100nF SMD capacitor for delivering voltage to the LEDs.
It's present on mine.

I haven't gotten a chance to build mine yet. It's low in my queue since I'm waiting for solarized dark to put on it. Have a kdb75, let's split, and soon to be m65a in line ahead of it. Didn't have any boot mapper issues while testing.
Had some water spill on mine when the unit above me leaked water through the ceiling...everything works fine still except the K key has to be mashed super hard to register. I'm hoping it's just the switch, which I'll attempt to desolder and replace tomorrow.
I'm gonna be really sad if this thing is broken before the keyset I bought for it even arrives.
Is there any interest in a R2 run by Mehkee? I've been talking with the TB runner and the price has gone up a bit. Due to unplanned defects (this seems to be his first GB), he didn't make sure to plan for the costs associated with possible PCB and anodizing failures so he's properly including them this time. I think we could get a set out at $160ish + shipping and include a Genuine Cherry stabs set as well as discounted switches if purchased with the kit.
Color options are the same: silver, black, titanium gray, blue, red.
The case is basically unchanged aesthetically except a few screw hole positions for stability.
I would think a timeline would be to run the GB for a few weeks ending first week of August and then ~8-10 weeks for delivery.
Would love to get some high level thoughts from you guys and others that may be interested in this thread before running an IC/GB.

Given how big 96 keys are right now and the demand for them I think this would be a home-run considering all the knock-off ones lately have not had an aluminum case option which everyone clamors for.+1
I think given the price and knowledge moving forward it would be a really solid group buy.

Pulled it apart today and checked everything, resoldered the K switch and it started working, but now about 20% of the board doesn't register and all of my solders are good so I'm pretty sure something happened to the board. I'm not sure if there was more damage from the water or if I managed to kill it in trying to fix it (I had to stick a small screwdriver inbetween the plate and PCB to pop my spacebar stabilizers back in place maybe I scratched the board...I was careful).
I've been working on it for a few hours now and I can't see anything else I can do, I think it's dead.
****.
Sorry that stinks. Let me speak to him and see if I can get any extra R1 PCBs or if the R2 PCBs will fit the R1 case given the screw hole changes. I wouldn't get my hopes up but I'll at least ask for you.Not sure how I quoted that post, not the one I meant to, oh well. Thanks for checking for me. I'm going to contact the building management company and see about filing a claim for it since there was water spilled all over it, maybe I can at least get my money back...
Threw up a quick IC on Reddit, GB could start as early as Friday: https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/6o9erb/ic_r2_of_gsx96_aluminum_case_96key_kit/Yeah, I checked it this morning and it looked like there was some available. Sent him a message to confirm but if he has with you I may just order.
Ouhei - you may want to check out the original listing, it seems there are a few extra PCBs to purchase off TB. The runner confirmed there are a few extra PCBs as well.
Nice. You move fast man. Filled out IC.
Awesome work! I may have to jump in on R3 depending on the timing. If I wasn't having to rebuild my R1 I'd buy in on this round, haha.Nice. You move fast man. Filled out IC.
:D
I think enough interest has been attained to move forward on Friday. Looking for pictures of blue and red cases from R1 if anyone has any to provide as reference pictures! Also an other TG pics that people might be willing to share are much appreciated :)
Some updates on R2:
- Redesigned plate / case with ~9 standoffs at the moment
- No groove on the backside of the case for the weird plates that were offered in R1
- Custom branding on the PCB - I'm going to call it the 96KEE and will use that naming convention for future builds - I'm going to keep focusing on low-to-mid priced kits to continue offering affordable keyboards to our community. We have so many good designers and people focused on the high end with not so much available in the accessible range
- Layout for the PCB / plate will still be ANSI-focused and pretty strict (no split BS) but we'll work to improve that for R3, this round is about making the R1 expanded with minor improvements to keep costs low!
Thank you all for your feedback and to Ouhei for finding this kit and sharing it with us.
As far as my discussion has been with the TB runner, he won't be offering it on TB as of now and it will only be through Mehkee to save him some hassle on the distribution side.
I threw my SA set on the Mod-M's and the wobble is really intense!
I'm using the SA set on a board with Gateron Browns right now and there's definitely more wobble than any set I've put on there before, but yeah not nearly as bad as the Mods were. It's a shame, I liked the bump in the Mods more than Zealios...I threw my SA set on the Mod-M's and the wobble is really intense!
Yes.. the mod wobble is pretty substantial w/ SA. Although you'll probably find SA feels wobbly on just about any switch, but definitely exaggerated w/ mods.

As mentioned before, we worked to get an R2 of this going: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90742.0I wonder if my new PCB will be black/gold...he said he sent a revised one to me, but then he sent a picture of a red board so maybe the black/gold is just for the upcoming one but he'd already adjust the holes?
Some changes this round include black/gold PCB, additional standoffs for stability, flat bottom (removal of the groove/indent for the thin metal plates).

The black / gold hasn't been produced yet - it will be the original red as far as I'm aware. If you do get a black / gold please post pictures!
Finally built mine up yesterday.
I'm super stoked about how well this came out and how much I like it :DShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/J4NHq6E.jpg)

I've probably ordered a thousand things when I had the chinese fever 7-8 years ago, since then, probably ordered a hundred more things, none of them were lost, ripFrom what I can decipher from the tracking site I think it might have just been sent back to the warehouse, I'll find out more once I can actually get in contact with them.
Only once, I was too lazy to get a package, and turns out, they re-send it when you don't take it for 2 weeks, the seller didn't refund me the amount although she promised she would, I still carry the pain, dunno why, it was $24 at most, a powerball
anyone familiar with the sizing on the bottom row for this KB?
I am looking at the maxkey ninja SA keycap set but am unsure if i need to order the extra 2.25 shift key to make the bottom row fit.
