Title: Difference between legends on AEK I and AEK II dye-sub caps
Post by: Blazestorm on Sat, 18 March 2017, 14:34:25
I bought a custom keyboard that came w/ AEK caps, I don't know what generation, but the legends are a bit thick.

Then I found an old AEK I in my family's garage. Turns out these legends are much sharper.

Anyone else notice this before?

I can take better pictures now that I got some sunlight.

dyesub legends /do/ fade with use and age, that might have something to do with it

All of the legends are like this, even on keys that shouldn't have been used often (i.e. Scroll Lock), and AEK I would be older than AEK II... so it would have faded more
