"Clicky"? CLICKY!?!? didji, I'm ashamed for you. Good job.

Nice.
-
My Cherry Brown keyboard isnt clicky at all... IBM's are the best clicky keyboards ever...
-
On eBay, click = not rubber dome. In some cases it means rubber dome too. Nothing new really...
-
Clickiness lies in the ear of the listener.
-
Or greed of the seller.
-
outside of this forum; does anyone really know the difference?
-
I know someone who calls his Microsoft Desktop what-ever-it-is-thousand "clicky". It made me so mad I was tempted to clobber him with a real clicky keyboard (as in one where the keys make a clicking sound).

I've had similar sensations, but you probably shouldn't go through with it.
You don't want a murder charge against you, and if you club someone with an M on the head, that's exactly what you'll have.

What is the definition of 'clicky' though?
With Cherry MX switches, the main types are Blue, Brown and Black which are marketed as Clicky, Tactile and Linear respectively. But the Browns and Blacks, although not having a simulated click, will still produce a clicking sound, more than the typical rubber dome that most people will have been exposed to.
And you could argue that 'clicky' only applies to keyswitch technology where the click is intentionally created (e.g. white Alps with the click leaf, blue Cherry with the two-part stems) but then where does buckling spring come in? As far as I know, there is nothing explicitely put into BS to make them click, the click is just a byproduct of the technology, yet we still refer to them as clicky keyboards.
I'd be willing to bet that the majority of mechanical keyboards being typed on by the majority of people, will sound 'clicky' to them during normal typing. And I'm talking about normal, balanced people - people who don't care whether something is a click, a clack or a thock. People that don't spend hours swapping switches or desoldering their keyboards. People who don't have saved keyboard searches set up in eBay!

ROFL!!!
Yes, I put "Clicky" in the subject as a keyword to show up in search results, and to many people they would consider a Cherry Brown board clicky if used side-by-side with a rubber dome. Though I certainly know the difference and most of us do, the world at large doesn't know the intricacies of mechanical switches.
The switch characteristics are clarified in the auction and there is a photo of keycap removed, so that should remove all doubts for those who know what they are looking for.

M, possibly. It all depends on how good the frame is. The Terminal M's feel like they'd break first, though.
XT Model F or Terminal F, definitely. At the least, you have serious injury potential.

eh, I dunno...the board would of course break, all the rivets would go everywhere, but in particular an old-style 122-key would probably kill someone (think of the thick metal plate, and hitting them with the thin front edge of the board aiming for their forehead or perhaps back of their neck).
Again, not that it's a good idea to do this...

i have a iphone with a clicky keyboard :P

Yeah, I would always include "Clicky" in the title because that's a good search string to utilize.
When searching for stuff, I always try misspellings. So easy to find cheap stuff that way.

Bah $74 + shipping for this? It's cheaper new on dell small business!
Ohwell. Nice sales didj!
