Title: North LED's & Windowed LED Keycaps
Post by: autobot on Thu, 23 March 2017, 14:02:21
Does anybody have any tricks to help better illuminate windowed keycaps w/north LED's?

I ordered some GMK windowed caps, but forgot my Masterkeys Pro S has north LED's. D'oh!  :))

Lighting is really dull when placed on there. So I have them backward for now, but look goofy like that.

I was thinking maybe some chrome-like tape to reflect light back & cutting out the two horizontal ribs inside the keycap?

I guess a radical solution would be finding a TKL w/ South RGB LED's, if that even exists. Any ideas?

Perhaps if you paint the inside of the cap white the light will bounce around and out the window. It won't be perfect but you might see an improvement.
