Goofball, that's just how buckling springs caps are made.  That is the part of the switch that the keycap sits on top of.  It's a different setup than mx caps.  You put a cover cap on top of this blank one :)

You're kidding me - you took this seriously? Of course it's missing the key cap. Look at the seller's title for his listing at the top. He thinks "Esc" wore off, which I thought was mildly amusing - hence the post in "Off Topic".

Lol, I think you're right - I'm not sure I made that clear in first post - AND I guess it's not too far fetched that someone might actually post something like this seriously! :)

As an eight-year-old I took keycaps off any keyboard I touched. Twenty-four years later and I'm still taking keys off everything and BS still have me perplexed. Yea.
