Looks nice! Where do the names come from for these sets?! Dolch, yolch...
Is it a historical thing?
Too bad nobody buys DCS sets anymore. :P
Great color scheme.
Out of curiosity. Why have you chosen SP instead of GMK for this set?

I like DCS and would like to see more sets in it. GMK and SP's spherical profiles have a large production backup because of how many sets get run in those profiles.
I don't want to be responsible for a set for 8 months+
Are you aware that 6u DCS space bars are stem centered?
Are you aware that 6u DCS space bars are stem centered?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Or: Does that mean it's worth including them?
I took them out in the 1.01 iteration because not many keyboards use them.
Any thoughts about using JTK as the manufacturer?

If they are out already, it does not matter anymore. They would not fit 18XX boards, neither PCBs that may take the standard off centered stem Cherry space bars. It was just a heads up that's irrelevant now. :thumb:
Strong Wu-Tang vibes from this.

Now that you've said it, I see it.
Was wondering if you'd troll us all and go with a profile other than DCS.
If someone makes this with GMK I'd be so in. DCS is a deal breaker for me and many others. There isn't enough yellow sets...

3 kits:
- Base - covers most keyboards
- Compatibility - allows set to fit all keyboards but split spacebar keyboards
- ISO - self explanatory
I know that you're going for cost saving, but splitting into these kits makes the base set attractive, and the compatibility set small enough to be the right price to buy (if you need it).
this is my dream set.
what are the chances of icon mods?

I'll ask SP for pricing on both options when I email them. I'll probably do that today or tomorrow. I'm suddenly very busy, though, so patience will be warranted.
I'll have to weigh the pros and cons of an expansive compatibility kit once I get pricing. I'd rather have a big one, but if it's more than like $30 I'm not sure how excited I'll be about it.
My other issue is that ISO kits with legends are kinda silly, since someone always says "BUT IT DOESN'T WORK WITH SERBO-CROATIAN, SO WHAT'S THE POINT?" This might be a little superficial of me, though.
I have quite a few Wyse keyboards from various years of production. The keycaps on these were all made by predecessors of Signature Plastics and what eventually became DCS. The earlier Wyse keyboards had notably thicker keycaps than the newer ones.
I'd totally hop on DCS if they were thicker.
Wyse and GMK had wholly different tooling.
I like that ISO kit, but I still need to check pricing from SP. Once I have more info from them on the base set, I'll start exploring other kits.
Are you saying that Wyse used GMK/Cherry and then transitioned to DCS?
I'll have to take another look at those keycaps!

There is no such thing as a thick DCS, the closest thing to it is GMK's. But, GMK original Cherry molds have a better design.

The older caps (likely from terminal keyboards, rather than the PCE keebs) were thicker than the newer ones, but still not quite as thick as GMK.
DCS gets some unfair hate, IMO! I'm super glad it's getting some love! Are you going with the Cherry font, or the old school font?
Seems like a cool colour combination. Hopefully R2 will be in GMK
dcs alps on basic kit? :p
also this set has the kirkle stamp of approval so you know it's good
EDIT:MoreShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/iFR9iuI.jpg)
I had DCS caps. They're great. Definitely my second favorite profile after Cherry.
The thing is is that DCS has way better colors than GMK, will be cheaper, and will be made quicker. I think even some sets like Retro, which didn't survive the GMK drop, would make a fantastic transition into DCS.
would it be entirely out of the realm of possibility to IC for an icon mod set as an extra kit?

if there's R2 it's doubtful that i'll be the one doing it
this idea was just well timed enough that i'm doing it myself
bug my vendor when it's done
Thanks for going with DCS, this will be an instabuy for me when greenlit.
Is there a possibility of adding scooped alpha homings?
Who's your vendor?
hey also there's that really really cool top row from RedAlert that we could ape. SP has some other pretty cool fonts we could ask about...
