So when you want to win, the enemy has to die.
The only enemy to modern humans is OTHER HUMANS..
Vegans seem very preoccupied with converting other people to veganism.. This is illogical..
If we are to assume that Vegans are --the ones doing it right--, in that (we're assssuming) veganism will make them live longer, healthier, stronger..
THEN in order to WIN the game as a human, they should convince and push others to continue eating meat, while they keep their superior doctrine to secrecy.
From then on, the meat eaters die earlier in life from heartdisease/ stroke/ diabetus*.. THEREBY indirectly killing them off without a fight and WINNING THE WAR.. ..
-
War is everything. Never give up, never surrender.

I think that most vegans have a hard on for humans not killing animals/putting their ass to work.
AS OPPOSED TO WORLD DOMINATION.

YES! They're high on themselves and low on helping the cause, like a typical vegan they only care about GMO's, HMO's, and the type of fertilizer used in their Kale Salad!
YOU'RE NOT MY NEIGHBOR BRO

India is lacto-vegetarian. Japan was pescatarian until US gun boat diplomacy ended feudalism.
The gladiators of ancient Rome were vegetarians.

Is this a thread where non-vegans post stuff to feel better about themselves, because taking the moral high road is less fun/too difficult? *popcorn*

That's assuming carnivores are capable of feeling guilt and shame - now how about those lab grown burgers? They can stop trying to make them out of pasta now.

Pasta? Use black beans next time. :thumb:
In all out seriousness; I was a pescatarian for my junior and senior years of high school. No regrets. Vegetarian McRib sandwiches all the way. And yes, she was attractive. :D

Almost all the Youtube Vegans I used to watch have given it up.
And I seriously doubt the ones that remain are 100% on plan.

I think food is absolutely addicting..
So trying to stop someone else from eating meat, is like trying to get them to stop smoking crack..
While no crack smoker is in doubt that crack may be to the detriment of their health..
Almost certainly they can't just let go of the pipe...
I think the only rational action to take in this case, if one is firmly convinced of the new vegan science is to simply remain personally firm, and merely give others a hand when they've had a heart attack or stroke.
Addicts can't be helped before they hit bottom.
This is pretty straight forward analog from the therapy side.

It's actually becoming progressively easier to be vegan from the practical standpoint. There are more and more vegan-friendly restaurant options, actual vegan restaurants, vegan quick food options in supermarkets, greater variety of protein-based products. In some parts of the U.S. it may not be the case, but at least on the East Coast (and especially here in Boston) and in the West Coast places I've been, it's not a problem. Also in Europe it's increasingly easier as well. Italy has the least options out of western European countries I've visited, but even there it's never a problem to find vegan food for the day or make your own sandwiches if you must eat on the go. A lot of Indian food is vegan, and it's delicious.
As far as cravings go, it's a mistake to think that vegan food is bland and that only a burger would satisfy. The problem is that there's lots of bland and boring, bad vegan food out there in places that just don't want to bother making it good or interesting, but again, it's becoming more commonplace to have super flavorful options that have lots of ingredients and interesting sauces/flavors. The food I eat at home is far from bland--I love very bright contrasting flavors. I honestly crave a good Sweet Green salad more than a bucket of chicken wings. Also, I used to be a complete cheese addict, eating those large blocks of extra sharp cheddar you can get at supermarkets at fast rate. Thought I'd NEVER give that up. Somehow though when I did, it's been absolutely not a problem. Every once in a while I think of non-vegan things I'd like and then other alternative things come to mind, and they are now equally enticing. Ice cream? Try some So Delicious cashew varieties--I see them in most US supermarkets now. Tastier than most milk-based ice creams in my opinion (also as a former ice-cream addict). etc.

I think the danger here isn't so simple as merely going vegan .
there's also oil and refined sugar which makes the vegan list, but not the healthy list.
Meat eating may well be a contributing factor, but it's hard to say surely that its the ONLY factor or even the largest one..
We chase extremes because we are wired to achieve the maximum pleasure, this gives us drive/ purpose/ motivation to compete.
When applied to unlimited quantities of tasty food, EVEN IF it's vegan, we could still end up with metabolic syndromes not dis-similar to those who eat more meat.
-
Oh yeah, definitely! It's like saying french fries and onion rings are vegan and thus good to eat. There should be a good amount of common sense and knowledge of good nutrition when putting together meals. It's just as easy to eat junk food as a vegan.

Gotta pipe up here and say that Ooja-Booja is incredible. I dunno if you get it in the states but if you see it, buy it. The chocolate variety is in****ingsane. It's got like three ingredients. I don't know how they do it.

True story, my first year of undergrad I happened to find one of my [overweight] dorm-mates in a university cafeteria, and we sat at the same table. As you might know, there's usually buffet-style self-service in college caffeterias, at least in the U.S.), so one can get whatever they want in any combinations. She got a plate with some pasta and 3 of those deep fried sandwich things: a square of bread with a slice of cheese and a patty on top--all fried together to be crispy. I usually made complex concoctions of various salads and ingredients and a secret sandwich to go. So we sit and eat and chat a bit. I finish my stuff and she's picking at hers. I tell her I'm going to get some self-serve frozen yogurt as a take-out, and if she'd like some. She's like "no, I can't eat that, it's fattening!!" I pointed out that what she's eating is arguably much more fattening than some frozen yogurt, but people are set in their ways. I always think back to that conversation when I remember people who just eat crazy stuff out of ignorance. Also my friend's southern grandma deep fries everything with sugar and sometimes marshmallows, though she's been diabetic for years.

hahaha, no, we're pegging you at 6, and the higher cost of life style change TO YOU would necessitate SHE being Your 6 +1.7
Now, I forgot to mention, this has to be Makeup (face paint) adjusted since the differential is between male female.
Have you seen her without makeup .. ?
So it's iLLucionist @ 6. for a vegan female, she must roll a 6 + 1.7 without any buffs from Makeup (eyeliner, lipstick, shadow, foundation, bronzer, toner, lip liner, concealer)

You know. I am allergic to dairy; so maybe I should go vegan. Tp4, thank you for this life-affirming thread. You have shown me the light

Ok so with make-up she's an 8 in my book. I've seen her without, she's light on make-up, so I'd say 7.5 without?
I'd say still an 8 without make-up, it's the type of girl that does not plaster her whole face like airbrushing in photoshop. But let's edit the subjectivity out of it and make it 7.5 without make-up. so an average 0.5 penalty if you show up with make-up.
now, according to you she should at least be above 7.7 to make up for it right? so she fall's short 0.2 points?

Hrrrm... we need to use more specific breakdowns to analyze this..
Ok..
-0.5 __eye liner (it's a huge difference, you can put eyeliner on a chicken, it will look h0tter)

-0.5 __concealer or foundation (does not stack, one or both, only subtract once)

Personality weight is heavier only in longer campaigns.. And in some instances it has the capacity to greatly increase a person's total stats such that they rank above other characters even with glaring deficits in any one area..
So your consideration is now expanded to include length of campaign, your personal preference, style of play, and weapon luck/karma bonuses (hhkb).

I'm pursuing a psych (I-O) phd at business school right now, she is in clinical, getting her professional license and doing a "mini-phd" on the side (collecting data on your patients, doing a research x patients' illnesses model, write-up, and publish to journal).

For a natural 20 you add 1 to karma, natural 1, you subtract 1.
Length = lifetime; _________________ Roll however many times you're projected to stay together
personal preference = have to find out, ___ Roll the number of current known compatibilities Minus the number of known clashes.
common ground (psychology), _________ Roll the years left in school
style of play = cannot anticipate; ________ TBD
weapon = hhkb ______________________ TBD
If total karma exceeds 5.. marry her once Style of play and weapon buff is determined..
--Re-evaluate if SOP and Weapon significantly decreases character total stats. Contact dungeon master in such case

This would be awesome if it were to be made into a game.
Imagine: nerds with D&D Dating Edition would first try to D&D the **** out of a possible date, never even getting to date in the first place coz the D&D Dating Edition is so awesome.
Nerds would never fornicate and thus replicate and die out.

They are extremely interesting to dating websites though..

Mercury levels. No but uhm a lot of fish is cultured, not caught in the wild, in great basins. And they are literally on top of each other, literally zero space. So researchers argue that - analogous to cows and chickens packed together - they experience (a) great stress, which results in hormone levels too high that it is toxic for us and (b) bacteria and hygiene issues because of too many fish in confined space that may carry over to a lesser extent to humans as well.
But hey... I never know what to believe regards food research. One day cholesterol is bad, the other day it is good. Whatever man.
