Good price in my opinion, nice dates, seem pretty clean. I would grab one if I was in US. Only thing first one appear to have tape around the cable, it may be damaged but you can get a new cable pretty easy if it is.

I honestly think both are a good deal. I have not looked at prices for a while but they appear to have gone down if these are the norm.

Pretty great deal imo. Looks very clean and is a grey label.

Like fanpeople said the cable looks iffy but Model M cables are not hard to find and the cable will probably still work fine for a long while anyways.

Noticed this too. I'd say $80 or under for a grey or blue label Model M is a pretty good deal. I got my slightly grungy grey label with an AT cable for $60 a few months back.

Those are not great prices, they're average prices.  Wait around and you'll likely find cheaper.

There are thousands (millions?) of Model Ms out there, and if you wait and search you can eventually snag one very cheap, especially if you are willing to accept one that is dirty or incomplete.

To buy one today, complete, including cable (a $15 purchase on its own) $75 shipped is entirely fair and reasonable.

$50 for buy it now actually seems like a pretty decent price if you actually want it now. Assuming the other one doesn't go up in bidding, $20 would be a steal.

In my limited experience, the older the better. I've only handled two 1989 and one 1995 specimens. Both of the pre-90s boards felt better, even after a partial bolt mod on the '95. Not sure how much of a difference there would be between 1988 and 1990 though.

As others have said, there are quite a few cable options. I like the orihalcon SDL to USB cable, but you can also get new PS/2 cables from Unicomp, I think. Or you can do a USB mod and use any type-B USB cable.

Probably the biggest issue with ebay is that you won't be able to see how many broken rivets the keyboard has unless the seller has the right tool to disassemble it and photograph that.

Here's one that looks pretty good for a decent price, no back label though:
