But that town really looks kind of like a cool hangout..
I mean.. they're probably racist and backwards like most hick-y communities, but still.. if I were white, it looks like a pretty good place to live minus the nearby mining..

our their local member of parliament. His name is Bob Katter, his son is also involved in politics.

A friend and myself decided that we wanted to go to the pub for dinner, but it was shift change so all the good pubs were full. So my friend and I decided to go to one of the most ****tiest pubs in town so it would be relatively silent and food would come a little quicker.
Out of no where Bob Katter comes up, "G'day, names Bob Katter do you know Robbie do ya". I reply "No" and goes back to eating steak thinking I don't care if you the ****ing queen, when I am eating my dinner I don't like being disturbed with stupid questions.
Where ****ing else does the local MP decide to go to the crappy pub for ****ty steak and then bail up the customers.
I can't describe properly how ****ing through the wormehole this place is.
