I'm looking for a wired scissor-switch keyboard for my desktop. Only requirements are that it must be available to us Europeans and that it must have a classic layout in regards to the bottom row (that translates to: three modifier keys on the left of the space bar, and four on the right). The latter requirement excludes all Logitech keyboards.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

OG Logitech diNovo keyboard (the tenkeyless model before Edge). It's been discontinued for many years, but pops up in very good condition every now and then. The quality is superb. I've never seen other scissor switches as tight and completely rattle-free.

When I read your post I immediately thought of the SIIG. Pretty much the only scissor switch keyboard I can think of that actually has the old standard layout you are seeking. All modern boards mess with the bottom row or arrows/home layout too much in order to shrink the length. The SIIG is a very solid and heavy feeling keyboard. The brushed aluminum is nice looking too. The scissor switch feels quality and like an old Selectric typewriter, so a bit more travel distance than typical scissor switch chiclet keyboards like the Apple, Lenovo, Dell's OEM ones.
I have been on a scissor switch tryout binge lately and have tried many of the widely available ones. If you can overlook it being wireless and a slightly modified home cluster, I think the HP Elite V2 is easily best scissor/Chiclet keyboard for the price . I actually would choose it over more expensive ones I've tried as well, like the Logitech K800 or Apple Aluminum. It is made of a very solid plastic so feels quality. Key stroke is similar to the Apple and very satisfying. Been using it for two months now. Wish they had a wired version as I'd stock up on them.
I also liked the idea of the Logitech K750 Solar, but the keystroke bottoming felt to hard to me. Felt like I was just typing on my desk SURFACE. Plus read in reviews that once the internal rechargeable batteries die the keyboard is worthless because they aren't easily replaced. If

That would explain why the Stream XT is becoming hard to find.
All Cherry needs to do is trim the fat (bezel) off around the edges and lop off the number pad.

I got one and I wouldn't recommend it. The keys are hard and the typing experience is unpleasant. So much that I'm back to my previous rubber dome. It may be that the keyboard on my old Thinkpad has spoiled me in regards to how a scissor-switch keyboard should feel.
My hunt continues.

You mean the keyboard from the "DiNovo Media Desktop"? I don't think I have seen it sold separately.

I got it without the mouse, i.e., only the keyboard and numpad.

IMO, the Thinkpad keyboard layout hit its sweet spot with the X220 and then suddenly went downhill.

I'm fond of scissors keyboards too, after using IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad for many years, but like you, I don't like the new Lenovo layout. You can try searching on ebay for SK-8845 (this is what I'm using right now) or SK-8855. They are available from time to time. I love the trackpoint and wrist rests embedded in these keyboards.

I'm not sure, but all new Apple keyboards are using scissors switches, but I don't like the island layout (space between keys). They have only 3 keys on the right.
Kaihl released early this year scissors switches, but I don't know of any keyboard using them.

but the actuation force is low and I found pressing keys by mistake, it's not like the Thinkpad Ultranav keyboard where I can rest my fingers on the keys. I don't know about this new model, in my country has good reviews, it's considered poor's man apple keyboard replacement, the cons are: very sensitive to liquids and no multimedia keys.

@kultra Me, too, dislike the flat island keys. I have saved a search on Ebay for a SK-8855 (as I prefer the extra modifier keys). Thank you for your suggestion.
In the meantime, I had bought a Cherry Stream 3.0, but didn't like the feel and gave it to a colleague.
Unfortunately, modern scissor-switch keyboards have abandoned the classic layout that I am seeking.
