Post by: tp4tissue on Tue, 25 April 2017, 04:07:39
Why even drink this stuff.. ??

Watery sour grapes tinted with grain alcohol..

Tp4 received bottle as a gift,  you know, the kind that is suppose to say i probably hate you..  but now you can't know for sure.. but given how bad this gift is,  Probably..   But I may in fact h8 you so much that to be ambiguous in this way is actually the effectively worst I can inflict upon you..

Please diaf... how are you enjoying that cheap bottle of what's suppose to be wine.

Muahahahahahhahahaa

Of course Tp4 haz Moutai.  hahahaha

It takes alot of getting used to, no different than introducing the young guys to tequila/ scotch/ brandi

The issue with Chinese diesel as it's called by new westerners..  it's very much non-floral..

Western liquors are like drinking perfume..

Chinese diesel (Baijiu )   ,    in comparison is much more herbal..

Moutai is a brand of the white spirits, it's the oldest official state brand,

Cost wise, it's not expensive by hard liquor standards,  it's just difficult to get the --real stuff-- in china right now if you don't have any official connections.

Because of the wide popularity,  there are counterfeits made all over china,  and most novice drinkers wouldn't know the difference between the real and fake..

Tp4's route to Moutai is solid , but am not at liberty to discuss this ..

Title made me think of some dude making 'wine' in his toilet in prison.

Judging by your experience with it, I don't think I was far off :D

My other half's mother got me a $2 bottle of wine from Aldi a couple of years ago.

I actually drank it, more out of spite than anything.

Here we also have Aldi, but the brand is called Hofer. I'd say Walmart is much bigger. ALDI is a cheap discounter for food, drinks, etc. and has some other articles changing every week. Judge for yourself and see the webpage of Austrian ALDI: www.hofer.at

Nope, a foreign (German, originally?) supermarket that sells lots of unusual foreign stuff they get in bulk very, very cheap.

Brands change every few weeks.

They sell computers too, and alcoholic beverages.

But nearly all brands you've never heard of.

Vats? you just mean wine made in metal? There is a local winery that makes wine in big concrete vats (this was made popular in California I think) and I think some of their wine is quiet good.

Kiwi99,, not trying to start another fight..

I've already started one today..  hahahaha

My point is simply that industrial wine in general have a very industrial taste..    / rubbery / unsmooth / highly astringent texture / smells a bit like machining lubricant.. probably left over from cheapo ingredient mixers + bad filtering.

TP get your fists up I'm looking to fight.

and okay, this is a very small winery and is fairly expensive so they must sift out all the machining lubricants prior to bottling  ;)
