My Cherry MX11900 is an awesome keyboard. I really like the MX Black switches (BLASPHEMY I KNOW) and the compact layout and even the Wackpad. The editing block being up in BFE doesn't bother me too much because getting to it just involves vertical movement of my right hand.
But one thing that bothers me about most keyboards is that there's nothing for my left thumb to do. Ever. I think this solves it: hang a couple lever action microswitches (these ones are Honeywell V7-2B17D8-048) off the bottom of the keyboard so the levers project over the spacebar. That way they are under my left thumb and it has some work to do.
RAlt LAlt LCtrl LShift is what I want them to do, from left to right.
It feels kind of weird with the 20cN clicky microswitches contrasting with the 60cN linear keys. I'll springswap the keys to reds and maybe use the higher force version of the switches when I go to wire this up.

The spacing appears too close for my fat thumb, but the concept is solid. I've put cheapo radio shack red pushbuttons on the front of a keyboard for much the same reason.
