I'm amazed by some of the prices I've seen - what do you think of this? Appears to be NIB
-
NIB? Yeah that price is in the realm of possibility.
-
It will sell. There is a bid already. I will say this will break $1000.
-
What I don't get is, it's basically a split Model M2, and everyone knows how relatively crappy they are... So what's the deal? Rarity hysteria? The "I have one and you don't" thing?
-
I think you pretty much nailed it. Check out this ultra rare cherry ergo, a steal at $1400 :))

It must be awfully funny when a thrift store in Shoetree, Iowa puts something like this online expecting to get a few bucks for it, not realizing how many peeps are out there with rarity fixations, rich parents, and little interest in philanthropy.
-
Well this sold for US $1,260.70! Not too surprising given the starting bid. At that price I would consider emptying my warehouse of these ;D

Holy cow! So what do you do after paying over $1200 for a NIB keyboard? Open it? Just look at the box?
-
Yes, and you moan, "My Precious...", and drool somewhat.
-
Ah, actually, I did up something like that and posted it here (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=70398.0) a couple of years ago (it's just a 1390120—but it's all relative, huh?):
