Title: Measurements for HHKB blockers (7u bottom row) in 60% case?
Post by: E3E on Wed, 10 May 2017, 19:26:06
Hey! I'm trying to work out the measurements for the blockers in a Viper-style case for the blockers for something a friend and I are designing. Does anyone have any info on the measurements for these blockers?

Thanks :)

I used Mod's resource (https://github.com/mohitg11/GH-CAD-Resources) to draw my plate and it was dead on. Look for the keylayouts.dwg

Using the same one I got this

You should treat it the same as doing the usual outer border. From the edge of the switch cutout, you go 3mm out, and that's where the the blocker begins.

For ease sake, it's 28.5750mm.

You can also work out that by doing 19.05 x 1.5 (overall switch space x switch unit size).
