Title: Did I broke the switch of my mechanical keyboard?
Post by: Dudayev on Wed, 17 May 2017, 07:06:04
>Be me
>****posting on 4chan and using my cellphone
>Open pokemon go!
>Then, trying to catch a charmander spotted on my desk
>ButterFingers.webm
>Cellphone fall like a stone on my keyboard
>Shiiiiiiiiiet
>Check damage control
>Press Z and not be able to hear that delicious "click"
>But the key still working

Did I broke that switch? Exist any way to open that little **** to check it, but without rip the welding? Help.

My head hurts after reading that.

But I'm thinking yes (you probably broke something) and no (you can't fix without replacing switch by desoldering and resoldering a new one).

If it's a clicky switch, maybe the clicky slider bit got stuck at the bottom.

Try repeatedly mashing the switch to see if it will loosen up a bit.
