Title: Handwired Sixkey Mini-Keyboard Build
Post by: ff6600 on Wed, 17 May 2017, 12:40:14
I've been a steady lurker here on Geekhack for the last few years.
After building my own Ergodox, I guess I caught the custom keyboard bug and decided to build my own custom rig.

Features:

Thanks to everyone here for sharing so much knowledge, I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without your expertise.

I used a combination of the keyboard layout generator and Swilkb's builder to create the plate and the case. I used Lasergist to cut the plate and Ponoko to cut the case out of bamboo.

I'll be the first to admit, the case it ridiculously tall for a keyboard. If it was anything but a mini-keyboard it'd be almost useless. But here it works.
