Saw this keyboard from Adesso which is selling for about $60 on the internet:

Highlights are mechanical switches and 6 + 4 key rollover (which they call "n-key rollover" on their product page). Downsides are the somewhat funky layout and no clear indication of who makes their mechanical switches - anyone have one of these or have more info?

The picture shows Cherry blues. It might be a nice pick up for the blues fans if they don't mind the big Enter key and want a compact layout. It looks a lot like the 1800 layout from Cherry. The key legends (and the whole 'board, for that matter) are pretty ugly. The pic looks like the legends were 'shopped on the 'board, though.

Description "tiny snap", "click" and "Lifecycle of 50 million mechanical keystrokes" indicates Cherry blues too. At $60, it looks like an interesting offer. Make sure to post a review when you got it. ;)

The more I look at it, the uglier it gets. That said, Adesso has never been on the cutting edge of style.
-
Actually I like it's looks. The compact layout isn't for me though, as I use the navigation block all the time.
-
Anyone who regularly uses the function keys wouldn't be very fond of the layout either...

MKB 135b. Looks like 104 key blue cherry board.
Claims to have NKRO with audio jacks.
Heres the item: (oos)

Price 71 bucks. Then again the scorpius m10 is around this price too.

Hmm, it even looks like the Scorpius M10 (link (http://www.adesso.us/index.php/en/whats-new/coming-soon/250-mkb-135b)). I wonder if it is OEMed from the same source.
-
Not the same OEM. The label over the LEDs is black-bordered on the Adesso, brown-bordered on the Scorpius M10.

Damn. It's exactly what I wanted: A blue G80-alike with a few USB ports.
However, sneaking another Cherry board in the house, after the -3000 and the -8113 will be a bear.
-
Oooo.... Me likely. Cherry blues in a compact form function, black, not a Scorpius, costs half what a Das S does (which is a truly hideous board, IMSNFHO)... The only ***** I'd have is the 6KRO- I've gotten used to true NKRO on my MX-8100, but I know that no USB board is going to have better than 6KRO.
Has anybody actually got one in hand, to evaluate build quality?

I'd like to see a review, but it looks great for the price. The 10 key rollover claim is the only thing that worries me, as we know that can't happen over USB, and that it should be higher than that when plugged into PS/2.
