Title: Matias' New Keyboard
Post by: itlnstln on Thu, 25 February 2010, 12:41:50
Check it (http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/25/matias-makes-room-for-your-smartphone-on-an-otherwise-vanilla-ke/).  I'm pretty sure this is rubber dome along with the rest of the failboat this is sinking in.  Oh well.  The article is kinda funny, though.

Hey, look at it this way... it's the poor man's Optimus Maximus (http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/).

I do have a Matias rubber dome keyboard and I like it a lot better than your typical rubber dome and I assume that this model is on par with the one I have, but $50 is a bit much to pay for a gimmicky rubber dome board.

PPKB - Perky Programming Keyboard? Nah, it wouldn't work. I woudn't be too excited about the ALPS switches they use, anyway. An HHKB clone is a good idea, though.  Filco could pull it off with some Cherry browns, though.  That would be nice.

Just as long as it's "clicky."

That's what I hated about high school- too clicky.
