Another vote for what gaiden has done, the weight looks amazing. I think I would prefer the M and N of the moon text to be more consistent though, either sharp or curvy, not the biggest fan of it being a mix of both. The double o's in the middle look awesome, prefer the slight offset version myself

I would like to provide what I hope are som constructive criticism.
The logo
- The complete circle around the O might be problematic. Looking at the prototype it appears that the logo are cut through (see this http://i.imgur.com/FButvGD.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/FButvGD.jpg)), meaning that the inner part would be lose and fall out.
I guess it's solvable by not cutting all the way through (zzyjayfree will have to answer that) or by adding a space between the circle and the dot that are wide enough to hold the center part.- The typeface looks a a bit Indian to me. I think I would prefer something a bit more sci-fi. It's good, but I'm thinking that it could perhaps be even better.

Another benefit of having them in a straight line are the fact that the crescents can be larger and still keeeping the current height of the weight.
This should mean more bras showing through, slightly more mass and in the end a heavier keyboard.
Though to be fair the same could be achieved by increasing the height of the weight. But I like the current proportions of the weight when viewed from the inside of the keyboard.

I feel that the vertical alignment of the O section are a bit off. I think it should either be aligned with the baseline of the letters or completely centered.

Thanks for pointing it out bro :D I think there are many other interesting design proposals it's a shame the bottom went through such a big change. I really do think the (natural) Moon phases should be the way to go since it's not a unique logo but just a depiction of a series of natural moon shapes. It would've been a huge misopportunity to not do something like that for a keeb called "Moon" amiright?

Thanks for the input, I did played around with something similar to your suggestion but the result made it look more like a satellite instead of a moon. That's why I went with a more visually balanced approach.

In regards to my previous Moon phases weight design, I took the picture provided by Wraul under the assumption that it was an info graphic about what "proper" moon phases should've been. It was my oversight that it was actually an illustration by another artist. Even though I drew the shapes I thought I owe it to myself at least to do some proper research. I went on to gather information about natural moon phases and redraw my design. Based on one of the pictures I found earlier (see below) I was able to identify these moon phases and reconstruct my design. Even though they look similar to the previous, this was definitely my own interpretation on phases and these phases were actually construct from 4 full moon shapes. (Btw, my original weight concept "incorrect moons in a curve line" was inspired by the various height of each moon phases). Anyways thought I owe concerned party an explanation. Many cool logos I love it!

Having the moon (smaller circle) in line horizontally was one of my first approaches to this logo design. However easier it reads I felt it was a bit too 'linear' (not very fun to look at) and thus [A] Solar seems to have a more diverse structure and offer better space treatment for M & N. This is my favorite back design. The simplicity, plus the fact that it very clearly spells out "moon" is a big thing for me. I'm curious to see what it would look like with a curvier M and N.
Gaiden's weight design is still my favorite though. :-P

Seeing how [C] Nature are getting some interest I like to provide my feedback on the design.
Ignoring the fact that I don't feel like it is as much in line with the case design as [A] Solar, there are one thing I think could be improved.
The vertical alignment between the text and the circle section feels a bit off. The circle section should come down a bit.
Perhaps not enough to make i centered, but a bit so it feels more aligned with the text.
If I should guess I would propose the inner circle to be stand on the baseline of the letters, but I won't know until I actually see it.
Hey guys I want to say thank you to everyone who has participated in logo/weight design as well as in the vote. I will leave this open for 6 more hours ish. If you haven't had a chance to look at the awesome designs from the community this is time!So looking forward to this. Is there, at this time, an estimate for when you'll run the GB again?
At this point the result is pretty clear but I will keep it till vote closes for those who haven't made up his/her mind

There are no religions being stated in the logo. The reason there is a crescent moon in the logo is because this is a moon themed keyboard. Simple as that.

I was super sad when I thought I would have to chose between this and SKOG. Now this this delay happened I can get both. Also, kudos to you for taking the high road and doing a redesign. Super pumped for this.
Also any change the moon logo can be anodized or be in brass? In the GB of the original moon i think it was only available in stainless steel, which would be a little distracting with some color combos.

as far as colors go, i would also like to see purple but i am also interested in a variety of greens
Still hoping for black and gold like the original IC render.
White would be a great option also if micro arc oxidization is an option.
My own personal wish is a dark navy "midnight" blue color.
As you can see in the original GB it is only mentioned that the logo is SS, and with the brass options it doesnt get mentioned. Thats why i am wondering if that will be an option in either anodized alu or brass. You'd be able to choose any color from the ten options for either top, bottom cases and plate. So in theory the total number of combination would be 10 top x 10 bot x 10 plate x2 logo x 2 stripes=4000 :eek: :eek: :eek:

So does this mean the logo and the weight will have probably different colours? From how I am understanding, the logo is not going to be coloured, and so will (probably) have the colour of the stainless steel and brass respectively, but say you chose Ink Black for top colour your weight (aluminum or brass) will be Ink Black as well?
Just wanted to be clear of the choices.
