Title: 55g Topre and zealios?
Post by: avid on Thu, 15 June 2017, 16:43:04
My heaviest switch is 65g zealios (which i find heavier than 45g topre) and im curious about the 55g topre, but worried it might be to heavy.

Is the 55g topre comparable to any zealio switches (in how heavy they are)?

Topre and Zealios feel so different there is no "similar" weighting.

55g feels like a stiff, smooth, very snappy rubber dome. Zealios feels like Zealios.

Yeah, I've had both and you really can't say one feels heavier based on g count alone.
I use 55g as my daily and find it divine. I have 72g tactile grays and find that to be close to feel to my Topre.

I have 55g topre and 67g zealios un-lubed... I would say based on my personal 'feel' that the 55g topre feels stiffer after typing on it for a while.

I think this is the case with a lot of rubber domes. The rubber hardens over time.
