Title: IBM model m problem: key hitting neighbouring column
Post by: rollingdice on Fri, 16 June 2017, 00:27:04
Hi everyone.
I have an IBM model M which is working fine until last week. Occasionally, when I hit a key in the 7UJM column, the key on the right is registered too. e.g. u>i, j>k, m>,
What causes this? Do I need to replace the controller with a custom one?
I've disassembled the keyboard and saw nothing abnormal on the circuitry.
After disassembly, the keyboard worked normally for a few days.
