Make sure and get the protection plan.

I took a chance on an Unsaver not too long ago from a similar surplus electronics vendor. They ended up refunding the order since they didn't really have them in stock.
-

Unfortunately they're located in Hollywood, Florida :))

I called the first place (Impact Computer) this morning, and of course they are not available. Well, it was worth a try! :-)
BTW, their on-hold music sounds like a lot like the theme from Computer Chronicles, lol.

I called Impact Computers and they were pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately this is not in stock. I doubt Cygnus has any either. I do not think these companies have any incentive to remove out of stock items from their e-commerce sites as they bring in more visitors in the hope that someone buys something else that they do happen to have in stock.

You guys really fell for this? 90% of these parts suppliers use rented parts lists - i.e., they stock nothing.
We're not idiots. The majority of these sites do not post a stock photo or allow you to purchase, you need to get a quote. Since this one had a photo and a price/cart, it was worth a shot. No need to act all high and mighty.
-
Yes, frustrating, isn't it? There are many of these places that list every part description they can find, and claim or imply that they actually have them in stock, or can quickly get them from a supplier. In reality, they're just using a "scattergun approach" to draw interest in case it turns out they can get the parts.
They rarely show an actual price, like the first site, but usually say "Request Quote" or "Limited Stock" or something similarly vague, like the 2nd one.
Sorry you had to get your hopes up. :?|
