Does anyone have or have any information on:
Manhattan Ultra Slim Multi-Media Keyboard USB, Scissor (X-Structure) Keys
How is the feel? What is the actuating force?
I did not even find it on the Manhattan web site.
Found at: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=22722

Scissor keys = the sort of keys that you get in laptops.
There can be quite a variance in the quality of scissor switches, varying from Thinkpads of old to the horrible things they put on modern budget laptops. Either way, they're low-profile, sufficient tactile if they're well made, but they tend to wear out easily enough.

My local shop stocks some manhattan products. Junk from the letter J. It's a bunch of the kind of stuff that you buy that seems like it's held together by pure luck... Their website doesn't show half the products they stock, and seems pretty shady... Go ahead and buy if you like broken english on product packages, misinformation and shoddy workmanship at best.

You should go for an American keyboard (like an IBM Model M). One of those will last a lifetime.
