The Mantra typically goes, we stopped smoking.. so we can quit eating animals.
Smoking vs Fried chicken.
Smoking | Fried Chicken |
Taste disgusting | Greasy Delicious |
Burning sensation | Crunchy Chewy Texture |
Smells like car exhaust | Aromatic Secret Spices |
Both things go in one's mouth..
It's actually very very straightforward to stop smoking..
---- It takes will power, no doubt about it, but all of our natural senses are with us.
---- Good job buddy, we're glad you're doing this
Fried chicken, oh god, Tp4 Loves fried chicken..
---- Every natural thought process in a human being says, EAT THAT FRIED CHICKEN..
---- WTF are you doing, get dat chicken, Nom nom nom nom nom
There are some crazy doctors who say quitting smoking is harder than quitting heroin..
----- Most heroin addicts would tell you different..
As a REFORMED fried chicken Addict..
---- Even under the best conditions quitting Fried chicken is likely MUCH harder than quitting smoking..

Bizarre as it might seem to you, I've had a much harder time giving up smoking than meat and dairy. The latter was like flipping a switch in my mind, once I'd thought about it in a certain way it was pretty easy. And yes I do think fried chicken is delicious and I used to eat my steaks as rare as possible. Smoking is obviously disgusting but it's also properly addictive, so it's obviously gonna be hard to give up, but probably not gonna be relatable to someone who's never been a smoker.
Maybe what you need TP, is some greasy fried chicken patches, to ween you off. Or chicken flavoured gum.

I've already made the leap to 100% veggies.. 10% calories from fat..
I feel good,
But whenever I see fried chicken... the Duality of ones being becomes readily apparent.. There is another Tp4 inside Tp4.

A lot of nonsmokers actually enjoy the smell. I know when I wasn't smoking for those 6 or 7 years 2nd hand smoke always smelled so good. Not sure what that burning sensation you mentioned is, perhaps it's a personal problem you should see a doc about?

Please stop eating all meat, everyone. I want to be able to afford steak every day.

The eternal struggle of Healthy vs Happy
Healthy people are always stressed over the pettiest ****, tightly wound and always looking to be offended. Not a MENTALLY healthy way to live your life. Always sacrificing.
Fat people have a proclivity towards being jolly for a reason, they are living their life on their terms doing what brings them most pleasure. No sacrifices.
Now when it comes to feeling PHISICALLY healthy, yeah 100% eating garbage will make you feel bad later. It's almost like living in the now vs preparing for the future; in a pedantic sort of way.

This is where balancing things out plays out well. I can have two scoops of ice cream. I just need to figure out the calories and where it fits in. A bit of planning got me losing about a pound a week while still getting to have candy, ice cream, cake, etc. I just needed to plan for it, keep to filling but lower calorie foods for breakfast and lunch, then enjoy dinner and dessert.
Of course, then winter hit and my wife decided it was time for hibernation type food. I need to be mindful of her winter cooking :(

It may not be so accurate to place Peeps into those categories.
People-- who stress over petty things apply their pettiness to ALL categories.
----- But, most of these people come from low income backgrounds. It's really not anyone's fault that they are not so magnanimous, because they've never had much to give, never having had the opportunity to "Share"..
Fat people as an entire group accounts for 74% of the American Population (overweight)..
So--- To say -- they all have proclivity for jovial living is definitely too broad... hahahaha
Their bargain is, 50 years of unchecked eating in return for_
10-15 years worth of medication/ side effects/ cancer/ heart disease/ wheelchair/ dialysis..

It's more than the caloric balance though.
People who are lean fighting machines, get cancer and heart disease.. We have world renowned triathletes catching heart disease in their 30s..
They've cut into their arteries, Completely clogged with fat.. Assuming if you burn off the fat is wrong, it clogs regardless of how thin you are.
The newest element which imho is especially difficult to deal with is the 10% calories from FAT element.
--- At this percentage, it's guaranteed 100% that you will not get congestive heart disease..
That translates to less than 73 grams of Meat for the Entire DAY.. because meat on average is ~30% fat.
WHO EATS 73 grams of meat in america.. Imagine 4 chicken nuggets.. only it's not even fried, because the added oil would put you over 22g (10%) of fat per day.
hahahhahahaa
