I've been looking for the perfect mechanical keyboard, but I haven't found it yet. I've been searching the web, and contacting resellers and manufacturers, and one of them pointed me here.
I'm currently using a Logitech K800, and has all the things I'm looking for, but it's a bit mushy on the feel, and I'd like to get a real mechanical keyboard.
Here are my requirements:
1. Wireless
2. Backlit
3. Short throw keys (like Cherry MX Silver or similar)
4. Optional: number pad - if this were a separate piece that would be fine too.
Where I work and game, the PC is in a different room, and I work off a projection screen. That's the main reason for the wireless requirement (unless I want to run a USB extension cable across the floor and out the door). It's the wireless requirement that's causing me the most grief.
It would be great if my dream keyboard were already a reality (and I just don't know it yet), but I'm not above hacking the mechanicals from one keyboard with the electronics of another to get what I want.
Thoughts?

Wow, there are plenty of customization options via the website now.
That's fantastic.
