Is it possible to convert a HHKB to use MX Switches? I'm wanting to try it with the new Cherry MX Silver (SPEED) switches. I was looking into using Topre 30g, but it would cost $230+ to get a board just for the switches. Thanks

Nope..

No, but there are a few custom hhkb mx layouts. They can be found on Aliexpress for less than $100. There are also higher end boards like X60, Revo RJ, Duck Viper

Nope, but check out the tina-60 from kbdfans. The A layout had the same offset hhkb bottom row

Great recommendation, the TINA A from KBDFans looks like the closest I can get to HHKB with Cherry MX. Thank you

No caps come with the TINA A?

just pull hard on the sliders of the hhkb. once the housings pop out just shove an mx switch in there. should work...

But the HHKB doesn't have slider housings.....time to break out the jigsaw and hot glue though.....nothing's gonna stop this now... :spam:
Also I'll take a moment to offer they usual PSA, topre boards don't have discrete switches like mx or alps, it's more of a sandwiched assembly.

No, but if you took spacebar kit from any recent gmk gb you've got a 6u space
