Did anyone think of putting the plate inside a car plate holder frame? Given the size, perhaps the plate could be supported by bolting it to the border of the frame. That could open to more low cost and high fantasy customisations with a sandwich style case.
PCB size is 285mm x 94.6mm
Inside size of plate holder is
279mm x 117 mm
There are different sizes for plate holders (car, bike, etc).
