Hello all!
I am in the process of designing/creating my first keyboard. Its a reduced version of the ErgoDox and I'm going to Hand Wire it.
Here is my layout:

Here is my plate layout already sent for cutting, collecting tomorrow: (Using wood first while prototyping)

Here is my basic part list:
- Broken quickfire with mx blues, salvaging for keys.
- (Need to get diodes)
- 2 x Arduino Pro Micro
- 2 x usb micro breakout boards
- 2 x TRRS jacks
- 1 x TRRS cable
- 1 x micro usb cable
- 1 x patience
My main obstacle atm:
How do I wire each side of the split to the controller?
How do I wire the controllers to communicate with each other?
I am following this guide for the hand wiring: http://imgur.com/a/qcgdF
Basically I am looking for a guide on how to hand wire a Let's Split keyboard using Pro Micro's.
What diodes are save to use? I need a few models, since availability is a real challenge here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Hi,
would you mind sharing the SVG files for the switch plate?
Cheers
