Hi folks.
I'm trying to get my hands on two boards currently (Ducky One Non-Backlite Cherry MX Blue & FC660M Mx Brown) but https://mechanicalkeyboards.com is 35USD shipping to Canada (about 50CAD!). Count in the current conversion and an 100$ board becomes twice its price....
So i'd like to know where can i get these boards for low shipping costs in Canada?
Thanks.

NCIX and DirectCanada carry Ducky keyboards. Neither have the keyboard you're looking for though. No shops in Canada carry Leopold keyboards.

Canada Computers is also an option, Newegg is good, also Amazon is ok. If you want custom boards you could go on AliExpress, mechkeys, zeal is Canadian too but a but more high end products.

None of these carry the boards.
I am legit pissed. Why would NCIX in Canada have a "Ducky Canada Store" where they have a very limited selection of boards with no choices of MX switches?
They half-assed the ****ing job and this pisses me off.

?
I was interested in the Ergodox but the price tag is not the right one for me as of right now. It's about 300US, which is about three times the prices of an FC660M or a Ducky One TKL.
Hopefully you'll understand.
But it's a project on my bucket list so i'll probably get one in two or three years.

Get something from Massdrop like a Pok3r and pray not to get hit by the customs. There are really not that many options unfortunately. Sometimes there are used ones on /r/mechmarket so that would be your cheapest option to get something decent.

I can say from firsthand experience that you will most likely get hit with customs fees in Canada when buying through Massdrop. I bought a POK3R a little over a year ago, and I ended up paying something in the $30CAD range in fees.
The classifieds here or /r/mechmarket are your best bet in Canada for a reasonably priced board that isn't one of the standard (MX blue, red, or brown) big manufacturer boards (Filco, Ducky, Corsair, etc.). I've had international sellers on both GH and Reddit offer to pay half the shipping costs in the past, so if you're not averse to buying used, I would just check the marketplaces regularly.
Depending on your location, you might get lucky on Kijiji as well.
Good luck.

Kijiji is a no go here, nothing interesting for sale (for the past months).
I may be going in the US soon so i'll order the board and ship it to wherever i'll be staying. Or maybe i'm having friends coming for october so i'll ask them to bring the thing up.
Both ways i'll save shipping and custom (about 80$CAD; legit the full price of an mmkb...)
Canada is slowly becoming a joke of a country.
