Title: Determining plate-mount stabilizer compatibilty

Is there any easy way to identify whether a plate is compatible with Cherry-style plate-mount stabilizers? A certain style of cut-out maybe? Or a min/max height for the cut-out?

I busted the spacebar PCB-mount stabilizer on one of my boards (inserts on a new spacebar cap were really tight, and when I tried to remove the key, the stab inserts came right out...from there I tried to tinker everything back together, but it didn't work too well) and was thinking about replacing it with a plate-mount stab, so that in case something like this happens again, I won't have to desolder several switches to replace the stab. The board has a bent steel two-in-one case/plate, like so:

To mount the spacebar stabilizer, Cherry plate mount stabs require this slot in order to insert the wire.

Perfect. That answers my question. Guess it's PCB-mount for this one.

For what its worth, I am of the camp that prefers the PCB mount stabs along with a few minor tweaks.
