WTF amd..
WTF...
On my downstairs pc, I tried installing amd crimson drivers, that's the new drivers after the _catalyst_ drivers.
They Made it look all Apple.. but it now doesn't have HALF the settings of the previous driver.
Then I ran starcraft.. well it ran badly before at 150fps vs 300+fps on the nvidia, but now it only runs at 48fps..
Seriously, starcraft..... 1998... 48fps...
I am deeply disappointed.. No more red team purchases for me... this is ridiculous..

It's all the animal fat causing the performance degradation.
Get your computer on a 100% veggie, 10% fat diet and see huge performance gains and better driver UI.
EDIT: wrong word

Yes, we all want them to focus on driver development for a game that is 19 years old. Yeah...
AMD drivers stink, but Nvidia also downgrades tweaks for older games (and been known to throw out some BAD drivers)./
Due to past experience, I only buy Nvidia when I have no other choice.

Bit miners, they are keeping prices inflated.

Was reading that prices on the Nvidia 10xx range had risen by 10% due to shortages in GDDR5 memory. Not sure if that was directly rated to mining but do know that certainly for AMD there are some known good cards for it that are constantly in demand.

Starcraft -Remastered- is brand new hahahaha... the engine is 19 years old...
But the Crimson drivers removed alot of functionality like gamma settings and hotkeys..

What is this "Amd" thing you refer to :)

I could only assume amd's takeover botched up ATI's good run.. They had the PURE sense of what graphics is about.
But then in a larger conglomerate, they have to deal with a powerfully political marketing department not of their own creed..
This must've lead to the current decay of form over function ..

Without listing settings, these are completely useless metrics.

I tested this afterwards on 2 nearly identical pcs.
Both are 4.7ghz g3258 from the $99 microcenter discount when they came out.
Swapped the amd7970 and nv670 between them, the 150 vs 300+ issue followed.
I tested this again using an old ati hd4870, again i saw frame dips into the lower 100s.

They recently split the divisions, this allows AMD Processor to work with Nvidia and AMD graphics to work with Intel.
