Title: Big Score!
Post by: Hak Foo on Sun, 14 March 2010, 23:23:32
I went to a big swap meet and hamfest at the local casino.

One guy had a Focus FK-9000 for 50 cents.  With manual.

Then I went back for another dip in his box-- early IBM, 101 layoutr, hugely dusty, AT connector, no LEDs, $1.

Final round:  "If you want the entire box, another dollar".  Fine.  an XT F, a Microsoft Natural, and four rubber-domes of no merit.

Cleaning to start soon.  The FK-9000 is first-- love those old white ALPS boards.  Considering ordering a keypuller from Elite; I nearly killed myself on an AT101W.

Also, Microsoft Windows-- what do you do re: batteries for the 9000?  The one in mine seemed shot.
