Title: WYSE 840358-01 Repair
Post by: bmmcwhirt on Tue, 26 September 2017, 00:36:20
A few weeks ago, I recovered a WYSE terminal and set about ordering the parts to get the keyboard working on USB.

The Teensy came and I got it wired for testing and all went well until I got to the right side of the keyboard. Most of the keys on the right 1/3 didn't work.

Closer inspection revealed 2 lifted traces. I'm going to have to fix these so they don't tear any further before I proceed but it looks like they still have a connection so the problem may be elsewhere still. See the attached image for a view of the lifted pads. Also if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

I was originally going to make this an external mod and keep it stock but now since it's going to be modded anyway I may just make it an internal USB mod.
