Title: Aluminum Cases
Post by: Tiramisuu on Fri, 29 September 2017, 16:39:25
I'm currently working on my 25% 16MM Stenward prototypes and they need a home.

I have some steel plates being made for my 5 prototypes and would love to house them in a nice aluminum case.   I have also been drooling over a openbuilds c-beam cnc router kit to make my own plates, cases and etch pcbs with anodizing in a bucket thrown in for good measure.

I haven't started bleeding money for the tools yet.   Is there a cheap cnc service that we can reach out to for case prototypes if we provide the design/gcode for the cnc work?   I suspect it will cost me in the neighborhood of 2K USD to get tooled up and that will probably take a few purchases spread over enough months to avoid divorce.

Thanks,
T

3Dhubs (https://www.3dhubs.com/) is now offering CNC quotes. Other than it, ask xondat or LeandreN.
