I generally like the steampunk style, but this one looks unusable.  A laptop that can't be folded is kind of silly, and all that crap(carriage) would make the bottom of the monitor a pain to see.  Interesting concept, decent execution of style, poor design...  I give it 3 stars.

Steampunked stuff is, in my opinion...usually more about apearance rather than practical functionality.

Still...interesting to look at, a display piece if you have it, not a working laptop (obviously....)

I really hate how the rims on that monitor are so thin.

But if it can't close... it's just illogical. Something like that as a display would bend my mind. I generally stray away from "junk" (i.e. nothing that is useful except changes the frequencies of light that enter into your eye).

plenty of steampunk items ARE still functional... that's why this one bugs me.

There have been some great steampunked Model M's on ebay lately.  I've bid them up some but haven't gone all in.
